The conversation with Lt Gen K J Singh clarified that the CPEC has changed the fortunes of Pakistan forever but for the worse. The more relevant issue which came out was that the CPEC can not be revived. Further, China has other option but to stay committed to Pakistan…for good or bad. USA will also not allow China to succeed. Pakistan has emerged into a battleground state. In this dismal scenario at present…all CPEC can do is push Pakistan one step deeper into chaos.
