The Trump-Zelensky blowout made good TV news. However it has brought to fore many issues of the emerging global order. Maj Gen Rajiv Narayanan (R) and I discussed various aspect of this blowout and its global impact. It is clear that USA wants to end this war at the earliest and focus on China. Europe on its part seems to be siding with Zelensky, but does not have the capability to continue this war. The mineral deal may have fallen through now for now…but will eventually have to go through with or without Zelensky. There are major implications for India which needs to make use of the opportunities being created while being alive to the pitfalls of this ongoing global churn.
