Our PM has made an initial signal to China to resume some sort of dialogue in his interview to Newsweek. The response from China has been ambivalent. In light of this , Lt Gen Hasnain (R) and I had a discussion on whether the relationship between China and India which is currently verging on a Cold War can be steered towards a Cold Peace. It was a discussion in which we touched upon various facets of the China India relationship in an open minded manner.
