  1. Dear General Saab,

Your presentation of facts is amazing, to say the least. I do go through your videos quite regularly. I like them.

But I will like to point to a new dimension in China’s problems. This has not been covered by any person trying to understand China. At least, I have not heard this point being covered.

China, by all means, is autocratic. This means that the decisions are mainly taken by a handful and necessarily followed by others. The chances are slim that all the time these handful of people will judge a situation correctly and take “right” decisions. So there is a high chance of a wrong decision at the highest decision-making level. Even if a right decision is taken, implementation remains a big challenge – one size does NOT fit all. And in case of a wrong decision, unfortunately, the common thinkers can not voice their their concerns as the country is autocratic. These dissenters are bound to face hardships.

On the contrary, ours is a democracy, however much we may have faults. This system of democracy allows contrary views and debates. This gives us a much higher chance to come to a correct decision. Even if a decision is taken at the highest level, common people will have the right to follow it even partially. So, different implementations will lead to different levels of successes. This process generates huge data with different success levels. This rich data then can lead to “best practices” which is impossible in any autocracy.

I have looked at China-India problem from this data angle. (After all, I am a Statistician, graduated from ISI Kolkata.)

Hope I could make my point clear. Would like to stand corrected, if mistaken.

    Jai Hind.

    Yours,
