Energy requirements of the battlefield are continuously growing as warfare keeps modernising with the latest technologies.

In this episode of Military technology of this century, Mag Gen Rajiv Narayanan (R) and I set forth to discuss battle field energy. This is a topic which is almost never discussed to the point of neglect. As the battlefield gets modernised, there is an ever increasing requirement of energy. In our context the environmental factors place an additional load energy since it is required for survival and has a great impact on logistics. There is an almost universal know-how that energy management is a key factor in tomorrow’s battlefield but never gets its due attention or thought. In this context, we discuss the importance and new possibilities to address this ever increasing requirement of “more energy”.
