Many of the assessments in the media on China are not panning out the way it was predicted. Take the outbreak of Covid. Millions dead and wholesale collapse was spoken off. Today Tedros himself is being reported to be saying that he sees light at the end of the tunnel. Economy wise too nothing calamitous is observed baring a few closures and lay offs that is routine when it happens in large economies like the US. What is enduring- is China’s belligerence and animosity to India’s rise. Realistic means to hold off China while we build up own CNP to merit the status of a strong pole in an emerging multipolar world is what we need to focus our energies on.
