Panel Discussion : Examining Successful Models of Atma Nirbharta in Defence

06 Dec at 5pm

Concept

it is often felt that defence capability building is a difficult process and that there are many failures which dot the system. More often than not we overlook our successes and underestimate them. As a result we never realise what we have achieved and we do not learn from our successful endeavours. It is well known that the Indian Navy has been successful in indigenisation of Shipbuilding to a large extent and is a terrific model to emulate. in recent times, the modernisation of Artillery has come age and has started in right earnest. Also the Tejas program is on the verge of taking off. These are all powerful and successful models of Atma Nirbharta in Defence which need examination to draw lessons for emulation in future. In this connection we will discuss and interact with those who contributed to such success when they were in chair.
