Assaults on serving personnel by police is increasing in scope and brutality. It is unimaginable that a colonel gets beaten up black and blue in Punjab by a lot of drunken cops and the government is silent with no action being taken. It will have deep ramifications. It might result in an uncontrollable situation one day or will lead to demoralisation of people who defend India. A simple question – why would anyone put his life on the line to get neaten up at his own home? Something which the Governments at state and central level need to ponder upon. This is a straight from the heart talk. Not enough to distribute sweets to troops on Diwali….take care of them later.
