Gunners Shot

India’s Approach to Bangladesh is turning from one of being conciliatory to one of being hard nosed and pragmatic. The reason is simple. Bangladesh is slowly but surely sliding into an Islamist Anarchy. The current dispensation which seized power in a politico military coup is beyond Bangladesh’s constitutional remit and must be replaced sooner than later with an elected government where every party must have an opportunity to be represented. India must monitor Pakistan related developments in Bangladesh and take appropriate steps to secure its interests till such time an elected government is put in place.
