In any analysis the first order of business is to know what lies on the other side of the hill. It is in this context that one has to understand the Chinese perspective of where they see China and India in the world order. Logically a country in decline should start altering its ambitions. However the opposite is happening in China. It firmly believes that its time has arrived to set the global power in which India is just another regional player. Very clearly Chinese writings indicate that India is in a camp which is the opposite of China and must be dealt with accordingly. India needs to be aware that any dealing with China has this permanent undertone of undercutting India and putting in its place.
