The hijack of the Jaffar Express by the BLA is the 07 October moment for Pakistan. It will leave a lasting imprint on the Pakistani psyche. The Army will be forced to react. In all probability it will do so with maximum force since the soft Winning The Hearts and Mind approach is alien to the Pakistani Army. How will things pan out in future is pretty nebulous. However, whatever happens will have huge repercussions for Pakistan and the region. In this context Lt Gen Ata Hasnain and I tried to crystal gaze as to what is coming ahead in Pakistan and the implications for India in a freewheeling, unstructured and uninhibited dialogue.
