Trump’s mineral deal with Ukraine is not about minerals alone. It is aimed at many birds with one stone. It enables USA to bind Russia, Ukraine and the EU in economic agreements. It paves way for USA to reduce dependance on China for critical minerals. It will open doors for reconstruction of Ukraine. The entire deal provides security and addresses concerns of all parties. When their economic interests are involved, they will be less prone to go to war. Mr Sree Iyer and I dissected it in detail.
