Mr Sanjay Dixit and I had wide ranging talk on India USA , Russia, China and Technology. The start of US Russia talks indicate that the global order is changing at great pace. India needs to be tuned into it. India & USA need to be on the same page to deal with China. Any defence deal with USA must be seen against the larger canvas of India USA Strategic Partnership, Indo Pacific Strategy and India USA Defence Cooperation. The fact also remains that India needs to improve its fighter aircraft strength and capability to be a regional power. F35 is an option which India needs to consider with a balanced outlook.
