The recent kidnapping of 16 persons working in the Pakistan’s nuclear mining site at Lakki Marwat along with missing some uranium is a matter of concern. Repeatedly it is being exposed and coming to light that the entire nuclear chain of Pakistan is at risk of being hijacked or subverted. The spectre of a lone wolf Jihadi setting of a backpack bomb in a crowded city is increasing with every such incident. Pakistan’s ability to blackmail / coerce its benefactors to support it continually with a clear gun to its head comes to fore with every such incident. It is time Pakistan is ‘Ukrainised’ and forced to cede its nuclear weapons to an international authority.
