WOMAN OFFICERS IN COMMAND

Woman officers in command in the Army is a a trending topic these days. While many may have views about it, the fact is that it affects the health of the Army and as an extension the security of the nation. Those who have commented have done so from many viewpoints. However there is a requirement of an organisational viewpoint taken from a balanced perspective. That is what Lt Gen D P Pandey puts across. This is the first of the series. More to come.

  1. Just imagine in Galwan like situation , what leadership role can a women play ? It would be interesting to know, how close ( by distance in Kilometres) was the first women officer to the Galwan area , when the incident took place ? Women can be employed in IAF in communication, air defence like missiles, airport operations, logistics, admin ….. because they are deep in the country. Once the officer is airborne, the environment changes. It would suffice to say ” What if instead of Abhinandan it would have been ‘ Abhita ‘ ? …. all hell would have broken loose !
