Bangladesh has transitioned from its revolution to anarchy very smoothly. It is now clear that this sponsored revolution was well planned. We must expect a period of internal turbulence in Bangladesh for a long time. The Bangladeshis are a bit shocked by the turn of India- China events. Suddenly they find their China card missing!
BD too must be left to stew in its own juices for a while. Like SL & Maldives they too will come around. China as a card to be played by our smaller neighbours has lost much of its sheen due to its own well known troubles. Even its staunch vassal in the subcontinent, Pakistan, has returned with its begging bowl empty in recent weeks from Beijing. Let’s simply continue doing nothing & things will right themselves. We need to remain watchful so that these unruly kids do not sustain irrevocable harm to themselves by the rash & petulant actions of their present rulers- whose time in the spot light is rapidly diminishing.
