The walkie talkie and pagers attacks on Hezbollah are game changers. In the short term they change the game between Israel, Hezbollah and Iran. In the long term there will be a change in the way wars are fought and will increase protectionism and disrupt globalism. Mr Sree Iyer and I had a detailed discussion on this issue.
Since Oct 7, 2023, irritatingly and without any provocation, Hezbollah bombarded Israel’s northern border asking for retaliation. They got it albeit a little belatedly. Perhaps we should have responded to Porkistan’s 1000 cuts strategy in a similar fashion a few decades ago. Interestingly, it took Israel to avenge USA’s 183 soldiers who were killed in 1983. Even today, US administration talks of ceasefire instead of getting hostages freed first. So much for double standards and compromised priorities.
