This was a free flowing conversation between Cap Alok Bansal (R) and self. We covered a lot of ground including the internal problems in Bangladesh, its political prospects and the necessity of good relations between India and Bangladesh. India and Bangladesh are interlocked with each other. Everyone must realise that there is no substitute for India as far as Bangladesh is concerned. China and USA are extra regional players who can only provide short term solutions to Bangladesh. Their long term sustenance is through India only.
