One response to “A POLITICO MILITARY ASSESSMENT OF PAKISTAN’S ARMED FORCES / PART 1 -GUARDING THE NATIONS BORDERS”

  1. Britishers have only taught both armies to fight against the enemy by the weapons produced by the British. The British did not train the army to select a gun/weapon suitable for the particular operation. The military hardware they developed is meant for sea-level operations and not mountainous locations. After getting Independence the Indian defence forces did not get an opportunity to select the weapons on their own. Whatever USSR gave to India defense forces took it. The same thing has happened to the Pakistan Army. During Rajiv Gandhi’s Indian army purchased the Bofors guns. The original Plan was to purchased French guns. When India decided to purchase 155 mm artillery gun the US given weapon locating radar to Pakistan to counter 155 mm guns. So India decided to purchase Bofors guns which has “Shoot and scoot” arrangement to escape from enemy return fire. The Indian Army could not use this device due to limited space during the Kargil War. So it is not easy to defeat the Pakistan Army with the military hardware developed in the 20th century. Now a stage has come when the Indian Army need not use artillery guns and tanks initially. They have to be used during combing operations if the enemy uses human shields like the terrorists used in the battles of Mosul and Gaza. That is the reason I am against any war. But we can recapture border areas India lost in the 1971 war and the Kargil War.
