Lt Gen Shokin Chauhan (R) and I discussed the current situation in Manipur. This was a no holds barred discussion. To say that the situation has gone from bad to worse is an understatement. The situation has scope to go even worse with political violence threatening to spill over into the neighbouring states. It is time to regain the state and ensure that the writ of the government runs in Manipur. A completely De-novo approach is needed.
