This video is in two parts. In the first part Lt Gen Sanjay Kulkarni (R) and I discussed about the attack on Chinese personnel in Pakistan and related events. In the second and main part we covered the Agniveer scheme in detail. The Aginipath scheme has been rolled out and apparently there is no adverse fall out so far on the armed forces. However it is early times and it needs a modification. The retention rates have to be increased . That is a must. The acid test of this ill planned scheme will be when the Agniveers start leaving service. The third angle is related to Nepal and recruitment of Gurkha’s which has great strategic ramifications. Lot of loos ends to be tied up.
