Cmde RS Vasan, DG Chennai Centre of China Studies explains in detail the maritime developments in the IOR. He also explains how the Indian Navy and Indian Armed Forces as a whole are responding to the situation. What comes out is that the Indian Navy is active in all important points of the IOR and is the only force combating piracy off the Somalia coast. The PLAN on the other hand is maintaining a low profile despite being the largest Navy in the world. The audio in the initial part of the video is not good. It improves dramatically later.
