China is facing an economic, demographic and an environmental crisis. However the national thrust is on nationalism, militarisation and technology as Xi believes China’s time has come. The result is that its predatory activities – diplomatically and geopolitically have only increased. This will continue as China declines further and will be a major problem for everyone.
