The Munir Doctrine first appeared in a Middle Eastern portal. It is an extension of the Bajwa Doctrine. It has been filtered into the environment without fanfare. It is ambitious and aims to revive Pakistan into a middle power with an emphasises on geoeconomics over geostrategy. Munir has plans to get FDI to the tune of 100 billion USD into Pakistan. A tall order for a nation which does not have the capacity to absorb more than 1-1.5 billion USD annually. All this is at a time when the Middle East is raging with battles. The chances of success of the doctrine may seem very small. However as Pakistan heads into its next round of selection process, India needs to keep a watch on the direction which the doctrine heads into.
